FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
BRAND AND PRODUCTS
How did ONESEA start?
Agreeing with Sir David Attenborough's statement "No one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced" and loving our planet so much, we decided to take advantage of the growth of the environmental concern and need for well-being to create ONESEA during the pandemic. ONESEA emerged with the goal of encouraging water sports such as surfing, considering that these are therapeutic and capable of improving our well-being, but also to raise awareness and make more people experience and care about the ocean.
What is the origin of the name ONESEA?
The name originates from onesie + sea, but it also means “one sea” to stand out that there is only one and that we should protect it in order to continue enjoying it.
What are the brand goals?
The brand goal is to create comfortable and sustainable beach and water sport products, such as surfing. The brand pretends to achieve this in a cyclic and sustainable process, by using upcycled materials, raising awareness and promoting a more ecological life.
How are the products made?
ONESEA products are designed and produced locally, through a conscious, ethic and slow-fashion process. Both, swimwear and surfwear, are produced with nylon collected from the ocean and regenerated into ECONYL® fiber (www.econyl.com/the-process). This fiber can be recycled, recreated and re-moulded repeatedly. Through this method we use already existing and regenerated resources without having to make new ones. When buying onesea, you are promoting a circular system.
What are the characteristics?
Colored lycra is 78% Recycled Polyamide and 22% Elastane, patterned lycra is 78% Recycled Polyester and 22% Elastane. Besides the recycled materials, these are high-end quality and fit perfect on the body. They also contain properties which protect from ultraviolet rays.

TAKING CARE
How to take care?
We recommend that you take special care with sunscreens, tanning products, high levels of chlorine and wax. These factors can damage the appearance and properties of your article. We recommend that you take extra care with light colored products. You should also be careful with rough surfaces.
ATTENTION: Be extra careful with surf products that you may be in contact. We recommend that you use alternatives to wax such as: a front/full traction pad, adhesive deck grip pads or a cork traction pad. If you get wax on your ONESEA article, do not rub it, do not use alcohol or any other abrasive products, neither hot water.
How to wash?
We recommend to wash your article by hand with cold running water, separate from other color pieces. Do not soak the item or use a washing machine.
How to dry?
We recommend drying your article in open air, without being completely exposed to the sun. Preferably, dry in the shade and horizontally. Do not store the article moist or curled. Do not iron.
